As a film school graduate, songwriter, designer, animator, and coder of Flash experiences, I’m a creative shape-shifter with a knack for sticking out. I’ve been the “digital guy” at a traditional shop, the childless creative behind a campaign that continues to “get motherhood,” and a cynic/optimist that believes a good idea can transcend any media-type.
An award-winning Art Director / Creative Director, I have over 14 years experience making some of the biggest agencies (JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, Publicis, Havas, McCann, etc) act like nimble creativity-factories.
At Saatchi, I helped turn Luvs from the literal laughing stock of advertising (voted worst ad of 2011) into the pride of P&G’s baby portfolio for a fraction of their other budgets, getting Effie nods and making for happy clients who were the envy of their peers for their creative vision. My work for Walmart led to Saatchi taking over creative duties, turning a small brand rehabilitation jump ball into a major account for years to come.
I started this journey at JWT, where among winning pitches for Microsoft and Royal Caribbean, my work on Debeers, JetBlue, and Stride Gum across digital, social, experiential introduced me to people I’ve have followed to different countries, agencies, and on one occasion, shark-diving.
Each new brief, work partner, client, or pitch is a chance to create a spark between two parts of the brain that have never met before. Seeing that spark turn into fireworks is the fun part.
